LOVE QUOTES Contest

In honor of Valentines Day babycheeks is giving one of our lucky newsletter readers movies passes for a date night on us!  Here are some of those great entries:

together is a perfect place to be because it's there that you can be delightfully imperfect. and there's nothing closer to perfection than being loved just because you are

You had me at hello!

Tis absense, however, that makes the heart grow fonder.

Always love like it's your last day together because you never know when that will be.

It doesn't matter where you go, it's who's beside you that counts.

Love is not breathlessness, its not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion.  That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are.  Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away.

Grow old with me, the best is yet to be.

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched.  They must be felt with heart.

I am who I am because of you.  You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I've ever had, and no matter what happens to us in the future, every day we are together is the greatest day of my life.  I will always be yours.  And, my darling, you will always be mine.

Baby Relexology Workshop

back by popular demand...

Reflexology for Babies Workshop
with Special Guest
Paul Zimeras
Gateway Therapy
Join us Wednesday March 3rd

Reflexology is a special kind of hand & foot massage.

Paul, a Reflexologist, discovered its uses over 18 years ago studying Martial Arts. Usually after a class many participants would be tired, sore, & sometimes injured. After which their instructors would instruct them to rub their own feet down in various ways. Pain relief for aches and sprains was almost instantaneous in most cases where-as more serious ailments healed faster & with less complications.

As time went on Paul began utilizing Reflexology when he had a cold or cough, a headache, cleansings, even helping his father regain some control over Diabetes.

One thing you should know about Reflexology is that it's safe to use on everybody; including babies and toddlers. In fact, when your child gets a cold, begins teething, has colic, or basic bumps & bruises every child manages to find, Reflexology done properly will stimulate your Childs body's natural defenses to recover faster, with less discomfort, and in many cases without having to use strong medications.
In this next workshop you will learn a basic overview of the foot & how to use Reflexology to help your baby or toddler recover quicker, and naturally. Help relieve them from the discomforts of:

Colic
Constipation
Difficulty Sleeping
Teething
Persistent Runny Nose
Skin Problems

Find out more about Paul and his services at www.gatewaytherapy.ca

Wednesday March 3rd   6:30 - 8:30pm

Come and participate with or without your baby. Space is limited. Please reserve your spot today by emailing us at babycheeks@shaw.ca. Be sure to bring a blanket if you are BYOB. Homemade cookies provided!

Playdate with Cinderella

 - Sneak Peek -
Wow!  What a fun fairytale event!  And I think every one of the 72 little girls through here that day had some of their dreams come true!  After some beautiful singalongs, stories, wishes, fairy dust and princess crafts each of us adults wished we were 3 or 4 again.  We of course had to shed a few tears too when Cinderella burst into song... it was just so magical!  So thank you Cinderella for coming all this way from a land far far away.  You were so wonderul to have as our guest for the day and hope to visit with you again soon.

And a huge thanks goes out to our good friends Lucy Lime Studios for joining us for the day to photograph the playdate.  We will post the link to their site once the Cinderella photos come available.  If you were attending that day, we will email you the password to view the gallery online along with ordering information.

Homemade crafts offer hope

A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history. --Gandhi

Craft Hope for Haiti Shop Spreading seeds of hope one stitch at a time

Recently celebrating its one year anniversary is Craft Hope--an innovative project aimed to help others around the world. Founded by mother of three, Jade Sims, Craft Hope is designed to share the comforts of handmade, personable crafts with those in need.

Over the last year, Craft Hope has had a tremendous outpouring of support from the online community, enabling them to donate anything from handmade dolls, blankets, hats and even sock monkeys to countries in need of help all over the world: Nicaragua, India, Mexico, in their hometown of Austin, Texas, and most recently in Haiti.

Combining their love for crafting and their passion to make a difference in people's lives, the team at Craft Hope, including Sarah Jackson and Marjorie Dolley continue to generously donate their time organizing projects such as Haiti Etsy and collecting sock monkeys for a preschool burn camp.

Now onto their sixth project, Craft Hope's scope of reach continues to grow--as does their passion for making a difference around the world. Riding out their amazing success as the Haiti Etsy project comes to a close, the team is constantly looking for new craft ideas, new charities and new ways to lend a helping hand. Have a great craft idea or particular interest in a certain charity? Found out how you can get involved on Craft Hope's website and help a special cause.

A sincere congratulations from all of us at babycheeks to Craft Hope's incredible success. Your devotion and willingness to help others is truly inspiring!
