Communicating with Toddlers Workshop

Communicating with Your Toddler Workshop
with Special Guest Paul Zimeras, Gateway Therapy
Join us Wednesday
April 7th  6:30-8:30pm

Back by popular demand... In the upcoming workshop we'll be discussing the do's and dont's of communication, or more technically: how language shapes your childs behavior. At first glance most people assume that the language they're using is conveying the message loud and clear. Would you be surprised to find out that most likely, it isn't?
Here's an example: Have you ever found yourself repeatedly telling your child NOT to do something, and they do it anyway? Or reminding them not to forget something and they do? (Ps... this one applies to husbands too!)
Well, in many cases the problem isn't faulty memory or disobedience - it's a matter of how you expressed yourself.  By applying the simple techniques you'll be gaining in this workshop, coupled with some awareness, you'll find yourself communicating your needs and life's lessons with your toddler, and family, much easier and create a calmer and healthier environment for everyone.

Topics we'll cover:
- The do's and don'ts of communication
- Why repeatedly telling your child not to do something actually encourages them to do it anyway
- Brain 101: Why do we think like this
