This recall involves the following 2 types of plush toys sold under the brand name "Creature Comforts Plush Toys".
- "Husky Hugs" plush toy: A 9-inch mother husky hugging a baby husky. The mother has a red bow around its neck, and the baby husky has a red Canada hat on its head. The toys contain polyester and plastic pellets, and have hard plastic eyes. The recalled toy can be identified by UPC 069202940187.
- "Peek-a-Boo Pal" plush toy: A reversible moose and puffin (bird) toy. The puffin is black and white with an orange beak, and the moose is brown. Both animals have hard plastic eyes. The recalled toy can be identified by UPC 069202707063
Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has identified that the hard eyes on the baby husky and on the puffin can detach; these small parts pose a choking hazard to young children.
Parkdale Novelty Co. Ltd. and Health Canada have not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these toys.
